Chapter 23
In which our hero needs to be bullied into blogging.
Back to Blogger
Chapter 23 is now here, mainly on account of the fact that you can post comments on Blogger, and you can’t on Tumblr.
I want to know what you all think! Call me needy, whatever.
See you there!
Adele
Okay, she is just incredible. She hasn’t got an album out yet, but her voice is so fucking beautiful that I can quite easily watch this or listen to her few songs on her MySpace over and over and over again.
Enjoy.
Thank goodness I have, like, w blue sky lives...
I swear this is the fucking funniest thing I have ever seen.
Please… everybody read this book.
Everybody.
Good luck...
… to all those taking part in NaNoWriMo this year. I, regrettably, will not be joining you.
For all those who don’t know, I took part last year, and completed my 50,000 word novel just in time, with about a day to spare. One crazy month of madness it was too, and I enjoyed every minute.
I would love to take part again this year, and I’ve thought about it… but I don’t think I can.
November 2006: I had nothing to worry about. I was in the middle of a temporary job I kinda hated, having just left another one, after just graduating in Law from Sheffield. I was free to put all my efforts, all my thoughts, into writing my NaNovel.
And that’s why I’m not entering this year. I don’t think I can focus on it as much as I would like to. Recently, since starting my Masters, I feel like I am slowly but surely beginning to get somewhere in my life. I’m doing a course in something that I actually want to do. I’m writing every day. I carry around a notebook ALL THE TIME (like I should) and I’m jotting down any ideas that come to me. I’m keeping a diary. I’m more organised. I’m more focused. And I don’t want to drop any of these balls, by carrying an extra (and very large) one.
(I’m not sure if that ball metaphor really works, but I’m sure you understand what I mean. Sorta…)
Alice is right...
She most certainly is. I do indeed suck at blogging. So, here’s a post. Abbi has been telling me that I should blog more too, which is the truth. Sooooo, here’s a post.
Srsly, I really suck… there’s plenty of stuff I could blog about. I just don’t bother. (I need to stop myself before this turns into a blog post about not posting on my blog, which no one really wants to read.)
…………
Okay… here’s what I’m going to write about right now. I’d like to share with people something I’ve recently started using and, quite frankly, I don’t know why I didn’t use it along time ago.
Feeds.
I, like a lot of people I know, spend far too much time online (and I still get no blogging done…). Whether I’m Stumbling through the Internet, checking Facebook every 10 minutes, seeing what’s going on in the news or checking for updates on my favourite sites; the time quickly adds up.
I realised that I was wasting far too much time; online procrastination. It’s a bitch, we all know that. And, while I’m still doing it, subscribing to feeds of my favourite websites and blogs has really helped streamline and focus my time online.
I’m using Google Reader. I haven’t tried any other readers, but I don’t think I have to - it’s fucking great. Nice layout, useful keyboard shortcuts, easy to use… I love it.
So, for those of you who are as late as I am on the RSS Express (sorry…), start using feeds. And, with all that spare time, please blog. Or at least tell me to.
This picture is not animated
I swear this is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.
My head hurts, but enjoyed the experience…
Will Chuck Norris blend?
I know I’ve been posting too many videos and stuff, instead of writing anything of particular merit, but I have to post this.
It’s… just… awesome.
